Carita Jo Scott passed away in her sleep surrounded by family January 18th 2022 at the age of 89 years old in Long Beach, California. She was born July 20th, 1932 in Choctaw County, Oklahoma to Major Pete and Lyzetta Arbaugh (nee) Wall. She was the second of ten children, of which five preceded her in their final rest. She graduated Dunjee High School in Spencer, Oklahoma in 1950, then she moved to Los Angeles, CA to attend college where she met Elathen M. Scott. They were married in 1954 and they were parents of five children.

Carita was an avid reader, a dabbler in Astronomy, and a lover of music. She was always looking out for everyone, she put their needs above her own. She was a lover of Christ and read the word of God daily.  She was survived by Mona Turner (Jerome), Sharon Terrell, and Carla Scott of Long Beach, Craig Scott of San Pedro, and Philip Scott (Cassandra) of Fontana.
