It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carissa Martinez, a beloved wife and mother who left us on July 10, 2025, at the age of 37. Carissa was the cherished daughter of Raymond and Dianna Martinez and the devoted wife of Luis Topete for 18 years. She was the mother of five children: Angelo, Evalina, Luciano, Elia, and Cecilo.

Carissa was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. Known for her selflessness, she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her warm smile, comforting hugs, and kind eyes radiated love and support, making her presence a source of comfort for everyone around her. Carissa’s words were often filled with wisdom and sincerity, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered.

Throughout her life, Carissa exemplified hard work and dedication. In just three short years, she rose from a call center employee to a supervisor, thriving in her passion for helping others. Her compassion for others began at an early age when her parents faced health challenges. Carissa selflessly left school to secure a job that would help support her family. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Luis, and together they created a beautiful family. Their journey took them from Sacramento, California, Merced, California, and finally to Phoenix, Arizona, where they built a loving home each step of the way.

Carissa’s spirit and love will continue to live on through her children and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She truly was an angel, and we take comfort in knowing she is in heaven, watching over us.

A memorial service will be held to honor Carissa’s life, and details will be shared with family and friends. Carissa will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
