Carey's obituary

Carey Lynn Smith (Dillon), age 55, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. She was born August 14, 1964 in Honolulu HI to Cormac and Patricia (Curran) Dillon.  She was a 1983 graduate of Decatur High School in Federal Way, Wa. After graduating, Carey attended WSU before deciding to work at her parents’ software store. She was blessed to give birth to her only child Danielle DeLapp in 1995. In 2001, Carey married the love of her life, Jason Smith. Jason and Carey made Puyallup their home for 19 years. During this time, Carey followed her love of animals and dream of owning her own business and created, Tails R A Waggon; a pet sitting and dog walking business. Her love of pets carried into her home and over the years adopted multiple animals and found loving homes for pets.

Along with loving her pets, she had a love to care for others. She was a quiet soul but her love of her family spoke volumes. Carey is survived by: her husband, Jason, daughter Danielle, sister Kim Groome (Dillon), nieces Kiley, Rachel, nephew Matthew and her extended family on the east coast. Carey is preceded in death by her parents, Cormac 77 and Patricia 57.
