Caprice M. Haes
February 26, 1972 – July 6, 2025
Caprice M. Haes, 53, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas.
She was born on February 26, 1972, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Jack Haes and Michele (Andorf) Ward. Caprice graduated from the University of North Dakota and later earned her Master’s degree from Walden University. She dedicated nearly 30 years of her life to shaping young minds as a teacher with the Clark County School District, where she predominantly taught eighth-grade Geography. Her love of the world was matched only by her passion for helping her students discover it, inspiring them to dream bigger and reach further than they ever thought possible.
Caprice is survived by her mother, Michele (David) Ward of Las Vegas, NV; her father, Jack (Jan) Haes of Englewood, FL; and her beloved Sophia and Hunter Haes, whom she cherished raising with deep love and pride. She is also survived by her sister’s, Nika Graci (Chad) Tanner of Huelo, HI and Erica Andorf of Ames, IA; her brother, Marc (Cheryl) Haes of Colorado Springs, CO, and her cherished nieces and nephews: Blayke and Marcus Coleman, Austin Carriveau, Brianna Belleville, Josephine, Athena, Kaden, Trey Haes, and Vincenzo Tanner.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Aimee Haes and Tasha Graci.
Caprice took great joy in her maternal role with Hunter and Sophia, and was proud of her nieces and nephews. She loved to travel the world, including her trips with her best friend Kim Caipa to deliver school supplies to the Amazon. She supported many charities throughout her life and lived each day with a heart of gold.
Caprice adored her beloved cat, Pixie Paws, and was never seen without her radiant smile and a stylish pair of sunglasses. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness and the love she so freely shared.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial following at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hudson.
