Candice's obituary

Candice Woodward Hansen, was born on January 27, 1978, in Morristown, New Jersey in the middle of a snowstorm. She gracefully departed this world on April 23, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the beloved fifth child of John and Geraldine (Gerri) Woodward and cherished sister to her five siblings and 17 nieces and nephews.

Candice's life was a testament to love, joy, kindness and an impeccable sense of style. She married the love of her life, Brian Eli Hansen, on April 2, 2011. She upgraded his wardrobe and together they lovingly raised their precious ten-year-old son, Grey Mars Hansen, who is her pride and joy. Through Grey, Candice's legacy will continue to thrive and shine as a witness to the love and values she instilled in him.

Candice’s passions included a fervent love for her family, a keen eye for fashion and art, a flair for interior design, a wanderlust for travel and a need to rock the dance floor. She loved the physical challenge and mental peace of regularly practicing yoga and was a self-proclaimed book worm. She dedicated her time and energy to volunteering in her community, particularly at Grey’s school, Fort Worth Country Day, where she left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.

Candice embraced life with unwavering enthusiasm and optimism. She illuminated every room she entered with her beautiful smile, welcoming nature and amazing energy. To know Candice was to bask in the warmth of her radiant spirit. In her passing, Candice leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, kindness, beauty (and fashion!) that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
