Cameron's obituary

Cameron “CJ” Fridey went home to be with Jesus on January 14, 2018 after a car accident this past summer followed by sporadic seizures. He passed away at Fairfax Hospital in Virginia, surrounded by family and friends, after unsuccessful subdural hematoma surgery that took place following a tragic fall at home.

CJ was born on April 8, 1989 at Fairfax Hospital and the family resided in Oak Hill, Virginia. He attended high school at Chantilly his freshman year and then the family moved to Dominion Valley. He graduated from Battlefield High School in 2007 while wrestling and playing football. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University in 2011 and was also a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He worked as a manager and technician at Wings and Capitol Leather for several years where he specialized in refurbishing vehicle interiors. He enjoyed concert-going, attending local sporting events, going to the movies and spending time with family, friends, and JoJo, his bichon poodle. Cameron was a peacemaker. He was truly happiest when finding ways to make the lives of others better and tried to put others first – always.

CJ is survived by his adoring parents, Rob and Char Fridey, along with his loving siblings, Drew, Brooks and Aly. He was also a grandson, nephew of many who are here today from afar, cousin, brother-in-law of Andrea Fridey (Drew’s wife), uncle to Connor Fridey (Drew’s son), boyfriend of Sarena Hutzell and friend to everyone he met.

Cameron was able to donate his organs and his eyes through Washington Regional Transplant. He will live on in the hearts of his family and friends and the recipients he never met. The Fridey Family would like to thank everyone for the love and support shown to us during this heartbreaking and difficult time.
