It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Calvin Hammond, a man of exceptional kindness,  and patience, who departed from this life on September 9, 2025. Born on March 8, 1957, Calvin was a beacon of understanding and wisdom, leaving an indelible legacy of love and positivity.

Calvin will be deeply missed by his beloved children, Ashley Hammond, Jarrod Hammond and Shane Anderson. Grandchildren Nikoma Anderson, Cassidy McPherson, Jaxson Mcpherson, River Mcpherson, Gracie McPherson, Lennox Hammond. He is survived by Rodney Hammond, brother. He was predeceased by his cherished wife, Demaree Hammond, with whom he shared an extraordinary 43-year union, a bond that remained his proudest accomplishment.

Renowned as an athlete during his high school years, Calvin was a dedicated wrestler and a passionate football player. Outside of his sporting endeavors, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of ice cream and chocolate, holding a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He was also an active individual, finding joy in recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, car rides with his dogs and blowing up tannerite.

Calvin lived by the lessons he imparted, believing that the attitude you posses ultimately shapes your life. He was recognized amongst his peers for his smart, wise, and occasionally ornery personality, qualities that made him a vibrant and influential figure in many lives.

In memory of Calvin, there will be a Celebration of life event planned for those who would like to come and pay their respects. Details to come.

Calvin's greatest legacy is his kindness and understanding, qualities that deeply ingrained him in the hearts of those who knew him. He was a remarkable man and his influence will reverberate across time, deeply missed, but always remembered.
