Calvin's obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Calvin Brecheisen, who departed this life on January 8, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on August 31, 1952, Calvin lived a life of service, bravery, and dedication, touching many lives along the way.
Calvin will forever be remembered by his two children, son Nicholas Brecheisen and daughter Stephanie Ferguson. He also leaves behind his brother, Gary Brecheisen, along with numerous other loved ones who were fortunate to know this extraordinary man.
In 1982, Calvin courageously served as a firefighter. He was not only committed to saving lives but also unyieldingly dedicated to the safety of his fellow firefighters. His heroic actions continue to inspire those who knew him.
Known for his love for the outdoors, Calvin found most of his joy in the mountains, hunting and fishing. Steak was his choice of meal while he preferred Pepsi to quench his thirst. His favorite team, the Denver Broncos, often commanded his attention and intense support while his favorite card game, 'Go Fish,' brought out his competitive spirit.
Despite not being definite about his favorite books, music, TV shows, and movies, Calvin was a fan of Western performances which resonated with his adventurous spirit. Unfortunately, his favorite piece of art, ways to exercise, vacation spots, favorite color, and causes he cared about remain undetermined.
Calvin lived an admirable and fulfilling life, and his memories will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and everyone who knew him. As we remember Calvin, let us celebrate his bravery, his love for family, and his passion for life.
