Callie's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Callie "Calgirl" Farrell, who left us too soon on July 29, 2024. Callie, widely known by her fond nickname, "Calgirl", was born on January 21, 1987. She was a beacon of warmth, humour, generosity, and thoughtfulness, touching countless lives with her bright spirit.

Callie's memory will be kept alive by her loving mother, Angela Farrell, and her siblings Michael Farrell, Jon Farrell , Heather Brown and Stephen Brown , as well as her Grandmother Linda Straughn along with 6 Nieces and 1 Nephew who deeply mourn the loss of such an exceptional Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Granddaughter.  She was a woman of strength and resilience, never allowing her wheelchair to hinder her spirit or independence. Her empathetic character led her to always strive to be a beacon of strength, not just for herself, but also for those around her.

She was a dynamo of courage and willpower, defying the odds in her 37 years of vibrant life. Her resilience against great odds was not just an accomplishment in itself, but also a life lesson she continually imparted to all who knew her.

Callie leaves behind a legacy of love, endurance, and a remarkable spirit that was never tainted by bitterness. Instead, she embraced her circumstances and leveraged them to inspire and uplift others. This enduring legacy will continue to live on thru the hearts and minds of those who were lucky enough to know her.

A Celebration of Life service for Callie will be held on August 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM. We invite you to join us at 6304 Clark Street to share stories, tears, laughter, and to honor the beautiful life of Callie Farrell. We believe that her spirit will feel each memory shared, each tear shed, and every burst of laughter, keeping her memory alive within us all.

The twinkle of her eyes, her infectious laughter, her warm embrace, and her incredible spirit will be missed immensely. May her soul rest in peace as her legacy continues to inspire and comfort those who loved her.
