I got the email today that it’s been 2 years to the day and I’m on a ship that just docked in Dutch Harbor, AK and that’s where we met I’m going ashore to visit some of our old hang outs! Hi Caley!!
This troubled Earth and all of us who loved Caley, could really use her during these times. She had such a big heart, and was always knowledgeable about the right thing to do.  She was one to weather a storm well, but with Caley’s guidance, there would be a lot fewer storms.  Wishing you well Caley, wherever you are. 🌠💞

I don’t know where to begin writing. More so I don’t know where to end. There aren’t enough words to say about Caley. She is one of the most incredible people I have ever known. We first met in Duluth, Minnesota airport for a wolf study with 10 other strangers. By the end of our ride to the National Wolf Center in Ely. We weren’t strangers anymore.
We had become the best of friends., sharing so many stories and incredible amounts of laughter!!
I was beyond blessed and anyone who was lucky enough to have Caley in there life, know that they are too!
There is so much more to say. But there just not enough words. Also, there may be a set limit. Unless you’re Caley, to her there were NO limits!! I love her and always will.
She was golden in every way!!
While Caley was still here, Winnie the Pooh said “Any day spent with you is my favorite day.” And in addition to that, “ If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever “
I love you cabb!! Your friend forever, Lisa

  • I met Caley several years ago as a volunteer at BFAS. Just watching and listening to her you knew that she was not only an awesome person, but a phenomenal caregiver. When Caley transferred to Dulce’s she introduced me to a dog named Joy. Joy had some behavioral challenges, especially on outings and sleepovers. Caley came up with the idea to give Joy her own sleepover card that was attached to her outing bag. Later I bought Joy her own lunch box. Caley and I often joked how Joy was the only dog with her own lunch box and a lanyard with directions. I enjoyed the time I was able to volunteer with Caley. She will be missed.

I had the privilege of working with Caley during a ("Best Friends") deployment in Houston; followed by the honor of becoming her friend.  She was one of the best human beings I've ever met.  The world is emptier without her.

Caley had such a wonderful way with dogs, sometimes I wondered if she was part dog and she could speak their language. Caley often said she learned so much from Gallup, a “good looking dog” that I later adopted, but I think Gallup and I learned much more from her.  My deepest sympathies to you Megan and your family.

Caley touched the lives of so many  (animals and people) more then she could ever have imagined. A phenomenal human taken from this world too soon. It was an honor to have know you.
