Burnetta “Karan” Britt passed peacefully into the arms of The Lord on December 16th, 2019. Karan, the youngest of three children, was born on December 21st, 1941 in Eric, Oklahoma. As a young child her mother moved them to Fresno, California in search of a better life. It was there that she met Wayne Britt, her lifelong love. They wed on July 10, 1959 while he was in the United States Air Force. Upon discharge, they settled in Santa Clara where they raised their three children.

Karan was an accomplished and talented artist and teacher. She displayed her artwork throughout the Bay Area and took great joy in teaching others to paint. Wayne and Karan eventually retired to Folsom, California where she continued to entertain loved ones with her dry wit and filled their homes with her beautiful paintings.

Karan is survived by her husband, Retired Santa Clara Police Department Captain Wayne Britt, her sister Sharon Wells, three children Wayne, Kenneth and Cindy, grandchildren Tiffany and Richard (RJay), and great-grandchildren Dorian and Roman.
