Burnell's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Burnell Page on September 2, 2024, at Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region. She was born unto parents Georgia Ford and Clyde Page on July 9, 1943, in Marion SC. Burnell was called home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, care, and cherished memories.
Burnell spent the majority of her life in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she had one child and dedicated 13 years of her life working at Sweeten Nursing Home as a nurse. In 1996, she decided to move to Charlotte, NC to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren, making family her top priority.
Described as a woman of faith, loving, and caring nature, Burnell enjoyed life to the fullest and loved being in the company of others. No one was a stranger in her life. She had a fondness for flowers and daily walks. One of her favorite hobbies was fishing. In the year 2000, Burnell joined the Pilgrim Church of S. Tryon, taking up the role of mother of the church.
Burnell leaves behind an immense legacy. She is survived by her daughter, Pearline Smith, and six grandchildren, Kameka Young, Audrianna young, Damien smith, Kimpeny Smith, Dahagony and Tyheem Wilson. She was blessed with nine great-grandchildren, one of whom, Kemonye Emanuel Young, is already with her in Heaven. Another great-grandchild is expected to be born on December 28, 2024. She is also survived by her cherished brother-in-law, Leroy Danny, and many nieces and nephews in Florida NC and SC.
