These are some wise words I found in my texts from Bryce <3 such a loving heart. Miss you dude. Thank you.

“You got this.

You have to do something different if you want something different. I promise that it’s not near as hard as your mind is making it seem right now. Don’t believe the lies it tells you. Stick to what you know is fact and stay in the present moment doing what you need to do. The future will happen but not right now today, so try to focus on what you can do today. Maybe make a list?

You can do it. You have it in you, I know this.”

“You are not alone and don’t have to do this alone”

“You are doing what you need to do to get better. Be proud of yourself for not giving up.”

My brother, my friend, I'm so heartbroken to learn belatedly that you are no longer with us. From 6th-grade sleepovers to in-depth conversations as men in sobriety, I've appreciated you. You've left a positive mark on the world, and I wish you happy travels in your new horizons of infinite seas. 🧡

This is heartbreaking news. We attended high school together and undergrad at OSU. He showed me how to climb one of the tallest trees in the quad. We took “Medical ethics from an African American feminist perspective” together. He rock climbed and was such a bright light - always challenging himself. We are sad to hear of his passing. Thank you for the beautiful obituary. -Alexa Pengelly

“Nothing you love is lost. Not really. Things, people—they always go away, sooner or later. You can't hold them, any more than you can hold moonlight. But if they've touched you, if they're inside you, then they're still yours. The only things you ever really have are the ones you hold inside your heart.”

My beloved cousin Bryce had a powerful, caring spirit that resonated throughout our entire family! Even when he didn’t have much money, he would still send Christmas presents to me and my family, just to see the smiles on our faces.  The way he often cared about others more than himself and his ability to light up the lives of others is so inspiring.  I will continue to reflect on what Bryce did and do my best to carry on his amazing spirit through my kindness and compassion for others!  ♥️💙💛💚🩷🩵
I will always have fond memories of us as children, passing notes to each other rolled up tightly inside pens we repurposed for subterfuge. You will be missed, old friend.
