Bryan's obituary

Bryan William Dell was was born on December 24th, 1947 in Detroit, MI to the late William “Bill” and Catherine (Milner) Dell.  He was the oldest of 3 children and the big brother of Doris (Carr) and Becky (Jones).  Bryan was a longtime resident of Clawson Michigan for 50+ years before moving to Alger, Forest Lake, MI with his wife Sue.  He was a proud employee of the United States Postal Service for over 30 years before retiring to care for his beloved wife of 54 years.

Bryan grew up in Clawson Michigan and was a graduate of Clawson High School.   From an early age he had a passion for music.  He not only played multiple instruments (drums and guitar) but also enjoyed singing.  He spent many years owning a DJ business, giving the gift of music to many special occasions including his kids school dances, and many family weddings. Bryan thoroughly enjoyed talking about the history of music and could talk for hours educating anybody who was interested in learning more.  His favorite genre's of music were Rock and Roll and Motown.

On September 9th, 1967 Bryan married the love of his life, Cheryl Sue Feltner, a native of Royal Oak, MI.  They were very proud parents of Bryan Todd Dell (Michelle), Natalie Sue Schulte (Pete), and Courtney Leigh VanWagoner (Todd).  To complete their hearts they were proud grandparents of 7 grandchildren.  Cheyenne, Joshua, Skyla, Aunna, Parker, Ashleigh, and Faith. Bryan loved spoiling them with gifts and bragging about them any chance he could get!

Family and Friendship meant EVERYTHING to Bryan.  Everything he did was for those he loved, always putting his needs last.  He was a very simple man who loved to fish, listen to music, and watch sports.  In his younger years he enjoyed bowling with his best friends and playing golf.  He was an avid U of M , Detroit Lions, and Detroit Tigers fan. Although Bryan bled maize and blue he was also known to root for Michigan State anytime they weren't playing U of M. Rivalries made for a fun family banter and many laughs.  Speaking of laughing, Bryan had the best billowing laugh that could be heard throughout the neighborhood!  His laugh will always be remembered by those blessed enough to have witnessed it.

Bryan is survived by: his 3 children, 6 grandchildren, sister Becky (Dell) Jones and many in-laws.

Bryan was predeceased by: Wife Sue (Feltner) Dell, Granddaughter Faith Dell, Sister Doris (Dell) Carr, and parents William and Catherine Dell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Rochester, MI at 3:30 PM on Saturday, October 12th.   Bryan's wish was to have a party filled with laughter, memories, music and fun.  Please join us for food, drinks, dancing and lots of  laughter as we celebrate Bryan.
