From Wendy Rubel:

Bruce brought a very young Flora to our house in the middle of the day to show us his camping equipment and transportation and to show Flora a book that we have on display with her name in four inch letters.

He was so looking forward to her being a part of his interests, to know his friends and and sharing her with his friends…not all who had her name so prominently displayed.
