Bruce's obituary

Bruce Sugarberg, 73, born January 5, 1948 in Boston, MA, passed on March 1, 2020 in Akron, OH. Graveside Services at Sherbondy Hill Cemetery, White Street off Vernon Odom Blvd (Akron Hebrew Cemetery) Rabbi Elyssa Austerklein and Cantor Bruce Braun officiating.. He has gone to rest with his parents Sidney and Florance Sugarberg (Zamosh). He is survived by brothers Blake and Wayne Sugarberg, former wives Claire and Denise, Aunts Gerri Rogers and Freyda Sanders, and first cousins Valerie and Leonard Sklut, Aviva, David, and Shira Sanders, and Mark and Ruth Sugarberg. He was a 50 years member of Beth El Congregation of Akron, Ohio. Bruce conquered cancer and was cancer free for 37 years. He was an amateur HAM radio operator with the call signal WA8TNC. Bruce also held a private pilot license. Later in life he became an ordained minister and chaplain. Bruce was active with Unity Churches in Tallmadge and Massillon, Ohio. He was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need. Bruce quietly comforted those in times of sickness and sorrow. Services entrusted to Gordon Memorial Home of Akron, Ohio.
