Bruce Lee Olmstead 71, of Keene , N.H. peacefully passed away in the comfort of his own home with family by his side on September 29th,2019.
His parents, Cleo V. and Isabelle (Castor) Olmstead, proudly welcomed their son into the world on September 15, 1948 in Keene. He grew up in Keene NH attending local schools. He worked for various factories including Sprague and Carlton and Troy Mills. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he especially enjoyed working with his hands as a skilled woodworker. He also enjoyed fishing with his son James. He was also a long time member of Beth-El Bible Church in Surry NH. He married the love of his life Elizabeth ( Diane) Olmstead on October 12th 1985; after what he would say would be many years of waiting for her. Bruce is predeceased by His parents Cleo V. And Isabelle ( Castor) Olmstead, Uncle Benny, brothers Cleo and Francis sister Shirley and Sister in law Alice. He is survived by his loving wife Diane Olmstead, son James Olmstead (Meghan) Hinsdale , N.H., step sons Arnold Hamel (Darla) Walpole N.H. , Robert Maggart Colorado Springs, CO. Granddaughter Arianna Olmstead, Step Granddaughters Alyssa and Devra Hamel , and Step Grandsons Hayden and Dylan Maggart. he is also Survived by sister in laws Linda Haselton ( Lanny) Sheffield AL. Caroline Wheeler ( Harry) Westmoreland N.H. and many extended family members. A celebration of life for Bruce will be November 2,2019 at Beth-El Bible Church in Surry N.H. starting at 10am-2pm
