Bruce's obituary

Bruce Bernard Gibbs of Charlottesville, Virginia born May 2, 1953, to the late Bernard (Bunny) and Hazel Gibbs, has sadly passed February 13, 2023

Bruce is survived by his daughter; Sara Gibbs Neise and her children, Jarek, Jason jr, Lianna and Jaxon, and his son Michael Logan Gibbs (fiancé Waunema Kelley); his sister Diane Flournoy (Husband Garland), his nephew Hunter Flournoy (husband Bradley), his niece Leah Cole (husband Judd) and their children Jessica and Olivia. He is also survived by his girlfriend Linda Keeton who was with him his last hard year of life.

Bruce was a graduate of Virginia Tech. He enjoyed hiking he Blue Ridge and was an avid fisherman; he also loved his aquarium fish. He was known as the main USPS carrier for the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville until his retirement in 2019 after 30 ½ years. He had a love of music and people and supported many local musicians that frequented the Gravity Lounge. He never met a stranger.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 25, 2023, at Hazy Mountain Winery in Afton Virginia at 3 p.m..
