Bruce Robert Foster, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 31, 2025. Born on August 7, 1956 in Santa Maria, California. Bruce spent most of his life in Reno, Nevada, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, good times, and lasting friendships.
Bruce had a deep passion for riding his Harley, finding freedom on the open road. He was known for his kind and calming nature, always bringing warmth and joy to those around him. His wonderful laugh and unforgettable personality left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bruce had a long career in construction and found his most fulfilling work on many historic projects, including the Fourth Ward School in Virginia City, and Leland Stanford Mansion in Sacramento. He led many notable projects in the Reno/Sparks area including many projects at the Nugget, the El Dorado Showroom, Roxy’s Bistro, and El Dorado fountain, just to name a few. Bruce finished his professional journey with Reyman Brothers/Thompson Garage Door. His dedication and strong work ethic were matched only by his generosity and loyalty to those he cared about.
Bruce is survived by his love, Gloria Kinder, her daughter Alicia; his daughter, Heidi Foster-Eilers, and her children, Jaden, Jonah, Ashley, and Braden; his son, Joshua Foster, and daughter-in-law, Erin Calfee; his daughter, Faith Anderson, and son-in-law, Derwin Anderson; and their children, Adalynn, Averie, Pierce, Alex, and Hayden Anderson. He was an amazing father and grandfather. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and the many friends who loved him.
Bruce’s life was one of work hard, play hard. A calm and kind presence that will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will be treasured forever.
