Bruce W. Alexander Jr.
October 24, 1981 – March 3, 2021
Bruce “Boo” Alexander Jr., a loving son, brother, uncle, and father to 3 amazing children, passed from this world on March 3, 2021, at the age of 39.
Bruce was born in Alexandria, La., to the union of Bruce Alexander Sr. and Karen Collins Alexander Jusselin. Bruce was raised in Elmer La., graduating from Oak Hill High School in 2000.
He was a single father raising 3 children: Zachary 16, Skylar 10, and Brayden 8, whom he adored with his every breath. If you saw Bruce, you saw his children. Be it fishing, camping, playing ball, volunteering, or doing homework, he was 100% hands on when it came to his babies. He loved to make people laugh, and truly enjoyed wrestling with and picking on his little sister, Amy. He was very protective of those he loved.
Bruce was a Tugboat Trip Pilot who loved the river and loved spending his Sundays in church and being outdoors with his kids.
Bruce was proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather, Philip Dwayne Collins, one sister, Jamie Alexander, and stepfather Bernard Jusselin. Paternal grandmother Peggy Alexander.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Zachary, Skylar, and Brayden, Mother Karen Collins Alexander Jusselin, of Elmer, La., His father Bruce Alexander Sr. of West Monroe, sister Amy Collins Laborde (Blake Miller), nieces Baylee, Aleigha, and Jacie of Sulphur, La. His maternal grandmother Frances Lorraine Collins, Aunt Phyllis Lambert (Bennie), cousin Jason Lambert and Uncle Jerry Collins all of Elmer, La. Paternal grandfather Troy Alexander, Uncles Denton Alexander, and Todd Alexander of Texas. One stepchild who he loved as his own, Kiara Dubroc of Alexandria.
A celebration of life will be held in the near future for those who wish to attend.
