Brooklyn's obituary

Brooklyn Bri’Anna Griffith

Brooklyn Bri’Anna Griffith, 13, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on July 18, 2025 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by her family.

Brooklyn, affectionally known as Brook-Brook, was born on March 25, 2012 and was a ray of light with a bright, infectious smile. She was homeschooled and loved animals, playing with her siblings and cousins, swimming, dancing, and singing. Her favorite games were Toca Boca and Poppy Playtime. She loved to eat chips and salsa and McDonald’s French fries, and her favorite color was Barbie pink.

Brooklyn was strong, determined, and willful, and she had a fantastic sense of humor. She was known to play tricks on her family, and her mischievous laugh warmed every room.

She is survived by her loving parents, Brian and Cassie Griffith; her siblings, Daniel, Cassius, and Micheala; her grandparents, Sergio and Paula Chavez and Don and Brenda Griffith; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Vickie Lynn Wilson, affectionally known as Meme to her grandbabies.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 24th at Ilsley Christian Church in Ilsley, Kentucky. Visitation will take place between 11-1, with the service from 1-2.

Brooklyn was greatly loved and lost too soon. Her family is devastated by this loss and will feel her absence forever. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana or Down Syndrome of Louisville.
