Brittany shared kids with my brother John Apple Jr and she was like my sister n law and i miss her. She loved her kids so much thats all she ever talked about every single day i seen her. Brittany u will be missed by John me my kids and its crazy how u got took from everyone so fast. This kills me to know that she died a violent death like she did. Im so sorry girl. Hope ur finally at peace...

I live in ridgebrook and have for 2 years now. Shawn is my best friend and I knew Brittany at one point through a neighbor of mine before She kept spiraling out of self control to crack and heroin, she was nice and funny. Seemed a little silly to me but oh well she loved to have fun I can say. But I have to say Shawn is innocent. Her boyfriend Derrick kirkland confessed to killing her and sits out here all the time in ridgebrook bragging how hes getting away with it and the police dont care bexause they already arrested shawn. But nobody knew him. Anybody who did knows thats not even in his capability. Plus. Ask to crime scene photos. The truth was in that apartment. I saw it with both of my eyes. She doesnt have justice. How can she rest in peace. Shawn tried to stop them and anyone out hear that night whonknows his voice should have been able to say that. These projects are bricks. The 2 hour confrontation couod be hears the entire time with 2 other male voices besides shawn ans Brittany screaming amd shawn trying to stop them. The proof was in the pudding. Knoxbille officers have over 100 unsolved murders. This is one. O dont care who they carges with it. Until leslie bean, Derrick kirkland and Ricky Burris and derricks brother are all arrested then I'll be silent.
