My son was one of the most incredible and Light-bringing souls I have ever met and his light was diminished by others and extinguished by his mental health struggles and the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide. I want to help create an environment of inclusion and acceptance when dealing with Mental Health struggles like my son did. I just don't want another parent or another child to think that not existing in the world is the only solution. That's NEVER the only solution and it leaves a deep hole where someone once occupied. In life, within their loved ones and their community, and within the Universe. We can't keep losing the people who bring light and enjoyment to our lives because they can't understand how to use that light for themselves in the moment. I just want to help stop someone from making the same mistake my son did in his judgement because there are a ton of people left hurting in the wake of his death. Please, if you're looking for a sign to stay alive and you've somehow found your way here and are struggling take this as your sign. Please! And if you've wandered here somehow and feel the need in your heart to contribute in some way but don't know how, Ive designated the closest Suicide Awareness and Prevention group to be the receiver of such proceeds and I'm sure they are appreciated. I know as the mother of a child who is living with the hole created by her son's death by suicide, it's personally beyond appreciated that the intention is there to help with this cause. It's very close to my heart.
