Background

Brian's passing was tragic and sudden. He was light in the world who wanted so much to love and be loved. For the last ten years he was struggling with Schizophrenia and addiction. He did what he could to survive and the system failed him. Because he had a mental illness he could not support himself and the means to have savings for funeral expenses. He was orphaned since he was an infant and grew up in abusive conditions. Ten years ago he came to us broken. He found peace and renewed his life turning to God and becoming baptized as a member of the Church of Christ. Those were the happiest moments of his life. He wanted to become a Choir Member. He also wanted to help people especially those who were low income and homeless. He was kind and loving always greeting people with big smiles. He dressed himself neatly and appeared confident but deep down inside he was suffering and battling voices which led him to a life of depression and grief. He walked a lonely path and wanted so much to love and be loved by family and friends. I believe that's all he ever truly wanted. If you knew him, you would know his heart and his beautiful, funny, sincere, and loving personality. He was a person that you will never forget. He deserves a proper memorial and to be remembered as a kind, loving brother, uncle, friend, and soldier of God. We will celebrate his life and remember him because he was loved and included as part of our family. Please help us in our endeavors to raise funds for his funeral expenses and memorial. Thank you for all your kindness and may God bless you. Contribute   Right arrow
