Brian's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian "Painterpants" Vogt. Known affectionately as Painterpants, Brian was born on October 4, 1962, and left us peacefully on his 61st birthday on October 4, 2023.
Brian is survived by his devoted partner, Rose Taylor, and his children; Misti Vogt, Alyssa Vogt, and Casey Vogt. He is also survived by his two grand daughters and brothers, Glen and Neil Vogt. He was predeceased by his parents, Gertrude and Bernard Vogt.
Remembered as a fervent attendee of Flathead Ekklesia, he was beloved by his community . Brian lived a life filled with joy and enthusiasm, which was reflected in his favorite activities and passions. His culinary delights included lasagna, fish, shrimp, and cucumber salad, while his refreshing drink of choice was iced tea.
Brian had a particular fondness for television, with American Idol, The Voice, History Channel, and NCIS among his top picks. He was also a great appreciator of art, immensely cherishing the artwork of his brother Neil Vogt. From his metal work to his ice sculptures, the pride for his brother was evident in Brian's admiration. He found serenity at the quiet banks of a stream where he often fished and had planted a tree with his brothers when younger , and in the thrill of thrift store shopping and attending yard sales. His favorite vacation spots included Arizona to visit his kids and California to spend time with his grandkids, while locally he cherished the beauty of Glacier National Park, the delights of Cisalos restaurant, and the tranquil setting of the lookout point.
Brian was deeply committed to causes close to his heart, particularly supporting children with autism. A man of simple tastes and profound sentiments, his favorite color was sky blue, mirroring the tranquility and depth of his soul.
Brian's life was full of love, compassion, and joy, which he generously shared with everyone around him. He enjoyed his work and he put a lot into his work he enjoyed the people he worked for calling some of them family he was very good at what he did he also knew so much about so many different topics and things, that's one of the things that will be missed most about him is all the teachings he taught others. He had so much knowledge in many of things. and he was a very smart man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his legacy will continue to inspire us all.
