Background
Brian and his daughter Kristie shared an unbreakable bond, the kind that so many people hope for in life. They were best friends, always laughing, always joking, always finding joy in the little moments together. Being around them meant hearing laughter and feeling warmth. Their love for each other was undeniable.
Five years ago, Brian's daughter, Kristie’s life was tragically taken in a senseless act of domestic violence. The pain of that loss is something no family should ever have to endure. Yet through that heartbreak, Brian chose to honor his daughter in the most meaningful and selfless way. He became a proud supporter of Work for Peace, a fundraiser started by Kristie’s son, his cherished grandson. For five years, Brian carried Kristie’s memory forward with strength, love, and purpose.
Brian was truly one of a kind. He was kind, fun, and full of life. He had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and cared for. He could make you laugh without even trying, and his presence made everything feel a little lighter. He was simply an amazing man, and anyone who knew him was better for it.
It is with heavy hearts that we now share that Brian has passed away after his battle with cancer. The loss is deeply felt by all who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please consider making a donation to Work for Peace. These donations will support The Spring of Tampa Bay, a domestic violence shelter that helps women and families in need.
Through this organization, Kristie’s memory continues to live on in beautiful and meaningful ways, including a coffee cart in the intake area and mattresses donated in her honor. These acts bring comfort and care to others during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
