Brian's obituary
Brian Keith Hickman, age 45, passed away Wednesday July 23rd, 2025. Born October 17th, 1978 to Ronald and Carol Hickman in Merced, California. The youngest of their three sons, raised him to be the best man he could possibly be. Brian graduated Golden Valley High School as part of the Class of 1997 making many long lasting friendships throughout his short life. On January 23, 2007, Brian had his first and only son and did nothing but support him ever since. Brian was a very loving father, son, brother, uncle, and an amazing friend.
Brian would show up to everything he could, whether it was little league baseball and soccer games or the many sports his son played throughout high school. Regardless of what it was, he was always there on the sidelines cheering the loudest he could. Every water polo game, every swim meet, every track meet, regardless of what it was, he was there.
As a child he loved to hangout at the Century Bowl which was managed by his grandfather Quinn Young, where he honed his bowling skills which would later shine bright in his life. Taking after both his grandfather and parents he became an amazing bowler and took part in many leagues. Brian found joy in the lanes as he was a devoted member to many teams where he never missed a beat when it came to cheering on his teammates and it was there that bowling wasn’t just a hobby, it was a home.
Though life brought him many challenges, he always tried his best to face them with optimism and aspiration for what lies ahead. Brian’s vibrant personality and love for those around him left a long-lasting mark on those who called him a friend but even more on those who called him family. We’ll always remember his big laugh and the unforgettable moments that we shared with him.
Brian is survived by his father Ronald Hickman of Merced, his son Connor Hickman of Merced. He is also survived by his brother David Hickman (Corena) of Ceres California. He also is survived by his aunt, cousins, niece and nephew. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Quinn and Mary Hazel Young. His mother Carol Hickman and brother Eric Hickman.
A private celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 23rd, 2025.
