Brian's obituary
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Brian Day, a wonderfully gentle and loving soul, who left us peacefully on January 20, 2026. Brian was born on October 9, 1963, and throughout his life, he brought joy, warmth, and laughter to those around him.
Brian is survived by his adoring children, Beka, Josh, and Hannah, along with his grandchildren, Eli, Addie, Gabe, and Katherine. He also leaves many others behind to cherish his memory, including his co-parent, Liz, son in law, and siblings.
His children remember him as a kind, caring, and at times, delightfully silly father, whose love knew no bounds. Brian had a unique way of making every moment feel special, his laughter was contagious and his presence was comforting.
Known for his love for the Indianapolis Colts, the Bourne series, and Dr. Pepper, Brian was a man of simple pleasures. He cherished the competition of a good game of Monopoly or Settlers of Catan and enjoyed spending his free time at the movies or playing golf. The beach held a special place in his heart, standing out as his favorite vacation spot.
Brian was respected in his professional life as a surgical technician, where he served for over 40 years. His legacy, however, extends beyond his occupation. He was a loving 'Papi', whose memory will continue to live on through his Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a family donation is being set up, the link for which can be found here: https://everloved.com/life-of…. Contributions will honor Brian's life, uphold his legacy, and support the family during this difficult time.
As the sun sets on Brian's life, we remember a man who was not just kind and gentle, but who had an infectious spirit of joy, a rare generosity of heart, and an unwavering love for his family. He serves as a strong reminder of the significance of mental health, the power of emotional connection, and the importance of accepting love and support from those around us.
His memory will forever be a beacon of love and laughter for all who knew him. Brian Day, you will be deeply missed.
