Brian's obituary

Brian Eric Frankenberg 12/9/1959-10/1/2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Eric Frankenberg, age 63, of Richmond, KY, on October 1, 2023. A man who knew no strangers and was a friend to so many, Brian’s life was one of kindness, humility, and a remarkable memory that seemed to hold an entire encyclopedia of statistics, childhood memories, Reds games and the Buckeyes. His passion for sports was exceeded only by his passion for the people in his life. Brian’s memory was filled with stories and anecdotes, each told with so much detail that you felt like you were reliving the moments with him.

Family was at the center of Brian’s world. He was an extremely proud father and grandfather, affectionately known as “Papa B!” He had a special place in his heart for his Grandparents, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with his aunts, uncles and cousins at family reunions and more.

Brian had a generous spirit and often did things for others without seeking recognition or praise and he touched many lives through his selfless acts.

Aside from his love for family and friends, Brian enjoyed a few passions of his own. He had a love for golfing and was known to be a wicked pool player. Sometimes he might even have enjoyed an occasional beer or sip of bourbon sharing stories and laughter with family and/or friends.

Brian’s life was a testament to the power of kindness, the importance of family, and the joy of treasuring every moment. He leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship and cherished memories that will be forever held in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Preceded in death by father, Ronald Frankenberg, Brian is survived by Mother, Jane Frankenberg, children Jonathon (Paige)and Nicholas (Kaci), stepson Andrew Harman along with siblings Janis Frankenberg, Dick (Christine) Frankenberg, Ginger (Jeff)Pettit, grandchildren, Henry and Sophia, as well as nieces Natalie, Molly and Paige and nephew Charlie.

Rest in Peace Brian and may your memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.

There will be a brief service on Saturday, 12/9/2023 at Indian Run UMC in Dublin at 11 AM.

A celebration will follow from Noon-3:00 PM at Rusty Bucket Worthington Hills upstairs.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
