I know Brian from work. I was offline Monday and did not hear about his passing until just now.Brian cares about people so very much. There will be a painful void at the GIlbert site. I'll be praying for his family and friends and will look forward to eternity seeing Brian's wonderful smile among the saints ready to show the way around our new heavenly, forever home. -m.m.

I grew up with Maggie, and Mr. Fischer was a big part of my childhood. He was always such a welcoming and generous person, and a great host! I always loved spending time at his house as a child, because of the environment he fostered. I never felt like a nuisance or like I was out staying my welcome around him. One of my favorite things about him was the way he loved to cook for the people he loved, my memory of him will always be preparing delicious meals for us, I'll always remember his cooking and his love for Washington Football. I am incredibly thankful to have known him and he will be missed.

You will be missed my friend. As will that smile that was always present and brightened up the room even on the off days. Truly one of the kindest, down to earth, and loving soles I had ever met. My condolences to the family. Rest in piece.

I was saddened when I heard about Brian and want him and his family to know how much I valued his friendship. On occasion, he would stop by my office and ask/ say, "How are you doing? I just wanted to see how you were doing." Most times, there was never a catch. He didn't go on to say, "oh... and what about this or that (work related)." Simply put, he valued people, friendships, and understood that they were the most important work to accomplish in this earthly life.
One of my first memories of meeting Brian was in a break room at the Gilbert Fiesta building (Orbital ATK at the time). I was new and trying to figure out where to get some filtered water/ ice. He took a moment to get to know me a bit more, and I remember feeling very welcomed. I remember telling him that I was looking for a new bed as we were trying to furnish a recently purchased home. I will never forget what he told me. He said, "Take my advice and don't get a king bed. It is important to stay extra close to those you love."
God bless you Brian, and your family during this hard time. I am a firm believer that God indeed has more work for you to do on the other side and wish you the best of luck as you grow to understand the ropes of eternity.

I had the pleasure of visiting with Brian every March for the last six years. My sons lived by Brian and we would go to lunch, play golf and reconnect every year. This March won’t be the same without him. He was smart and kind and I will miss him much. All my best to Maggie and his family.

Brian was a co-worker and friend. He was the nicest, most down to earth person anyone would ever want to know. He was kind and helpful. He was our go to person whenever we needed help on how to work the conference room AV equipment. Always willing to help. He was a friend that will be truly missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to his daughter and family.

I've known Brian for over 40 years as others have said or relationship started at Fairchild in the early 80's. As the time passed, we grew to more like brothers and often referred to each other as brothers. He and I have been through many things together in our lives, but have always been there for each other. His passing is losing a brother, and he will be missed emmensly, from our frequent calls to texts and picture swaps. He leaves a great void in many lives. Love you and will miss you brother.

It's a sad day this side of heaven. I've worked with Brian for years. We often talked about doing some volunteer work and meeting for coffee during retirement. I'm going to miss him at the office and I'm going to miss him being part of my future. Heaven gained a great guy!
