Background
On Dec. 29, 2021 Brian went to the Mayo Hospital by ambulance and arrived with critically ill lungs from covid. We all prayed as Brian was sedated and put on a ventilator to heal and rest his lungs with covid pneumonia and a bacterial infection and a fungal infection in his lungs. We all prayed daily and had a lot of hope Brian was strong enough to fight this. On day 15 we were told by the ICU team at the Mayo Hospital that all their efforts to help Brian were now causing more harm than good. He was getting damage to his heart and his kidneys were no longer working and fluid was building in his body and in his lungs. We had to let him go. It was very hard to stop hoping and believing he would be able to fight through this and come home to us but, we had to let him go. Brian fought and stayed with us 16 days. We said good-bye to him on Friday, January 14, 2022. We are all heart broken.
Brian tested positive with covid right before Christmas 2021. He tired his best to be protected from covid and got all his shots and booster. He knew he was very venerable after being diagnosed with colorectal cancer stage 3 C in the Spring of 2021. Brian did all he could to stay strong and fight. He had his cancer removed in a big surgery in July, 2021. After he healed some he started chemotherapy in August. With each treatment Brian got sicker and sicker but he continued to work to provide for his wife and 3 girls. Brian just finished his 9th round of chemotherapy when he tested positive for covid. Brian's body was too weak from chemotherapy to fight covid. We lost him at age 52. We are all heart broken. Any donation would help take the financial stress off the family at this very hard time. Thank you for your support and prayers.
