Brian's obituary
Brian D. Cote'
Brian passed on April 22, 2022, with his family by his side. Brian was a resident of Stafford Springs, and Littleton, Maine. He fancied himself a cowboy and spent many years teaching his children to love animals, and nature, and to live off what they grew. He was an accomplished farmer, gardener, woodworker, and friend. He loved teaching children to build and most importantly being in the woods. Brian was an avid horseman, traveling to several states with his horses and son to participate in trail riding. His trail riding family was of lifelong importance, and he had many stories to share. Born in Caribou, Maine on December 18, 1949, to Jack and Doris Cote’, Brian returned to Maine 20 years ago. In Littleton, he built a life, ran a gravel pit, and in true Brian form, gathered a family of much-loved friends. He leaves behind a son Joseph Cote’ and his wife Bobbi of Ashford, granddaughter Heather Lynn and her husband Michael Lynn of Charlotte, NC. Daughter Vickie Weidig and her husband Randy Weidig of Stafford Springs along with granddaughters Tessa Rose Eileen and Megan Renee Weidig. The mother of his children, Rose Hnath of Ashford. His sisters Donna Brothers, Nancy Flannery, and Michelle Petty all of Stafford Springs, and his beloved Uncle Freeman of Caribou, Maine. Along with many nieces and nephews. Brian also leaves his treasured friends Daniel and Denise Geiger of Littleton, Maine. He looked forward to their daily chats and warm meals and Jim McAfee whose love and care for Brian were beyond measure. He is predeceased by his parents Jack and Doris Cote’ and his beloved sister Kathy Rose. A memorial ceremony will be scheduled at the family’s convenience.
