I’m so sorry to hear about Brian’s passing.  Brian was a year ahead of me in junior high and high school.  I enjoyed having him as a friend and teammate.  I always looked up to him.  His mother and my dad worked together many years at Sears.  That just might have helped us stay on the straight and narrow since we knew any misbehavior would get back to his mom or my dad pretty quickly. 

I’m sorry that we fell out of touch over the years.  I am not surprised to hear about his incredible life because he obviously had so much potential.  Reading his story it’s clear that he didn’t waste any of it.

My condolences to Brian's family and his WFO-Huntsville family.  When I started at the NWS (in '99) my boss told me to contact 'the Atlanta ESA' for insight into all things NWS electronics.  This began a 20-year friendship with Brian being my go-to guy for all my questions, and I had tons of questions.  Brian always made time for me, and I am forever grateful.  I remember when the Huntsville WFO opened and the significant contributions Brian made with opening that office.  Brian took his role as the electronics manager very seriously and his professionalism was second only to his ability to teach and mentor.  Brian has been missed at the NWS since the day he retired and the news of his passing is very sad.  I can never thank him enough for all he taught me.
