Brent Allen Bryer passed away March 15, 2026 at the age of 75 in New Ulm, MN. Brent was born in Redding, CA, where he later worked for the City of Redding for about eight years. Upon gaining employment with the State Department of Transportation (Caltrans), he made his way to Redding CA where he worked for Caltrans for over 35 years. Brent was proud of his service to the traveling public and especially proud to have kept I-5 open during heavy snow events.

When Brent wasn’t working at his job, or his ranch raising cattle, or working on a rental house, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He so loved his halibut trips to beautiful Alaska and always brought home a great catch.

Brent is survived by his loving wife, Katherine, of 44 years, his two sons, Brent Jr. and Jerry,

his sister, Sharon and 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family is planning a celebration of life to be held after the 1 st of the year in Redding.

Brent will be missed by many friends and family who loved him dearly.
