Brennan's obituary

Brennan Christopher Blednick

Brennan Christopher Blednick, beloved fiance, father, and friend, passed away tragically in a motorcycle accident on January 9, 2024, in Hua Hin, Thailand. He was 56 years old.

Born on August 23, 1967, at Astoria General Hospital in Queens, New York, Brennan was a cherished son and sibling, and grew up in Warwick and Goshen New York.

Brennan was a graduate of Arizona State University (1989-1991) where he played tennis and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. His journey in the hospitality world began humbly during college as a valet at the Phoenician Resort in Phoenix, Arizona, before he made a move to Chicago, Illinois, where he pursued his finance career as a stockbroker and arbitrage clerk for the next 7 years.

When he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, Brennan was able to combine his innate gift of connecting with others and his insatiable love for golf, and served as the Director of Sales for Walters Golf, overseeing tournaments and business development at Bali Hai, Royal Links and Desert Pines for nearly 15 years. In 2013, Brennan's dedication to the hospitality industry led him to assume the role of President of the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association, where he made significant contributions. Simultaneously, he embraced entrepreneurship as the managing partner of CLI Groups. Alongside his business partner Renee Kim, CLI Groups became a premier Destination Management Company which was sought after and sold in 2020 affording Brennan the opportunity to pursue his ambition of making a move across the world to Thailand.

Brennan was a proud Irishman who embraced life with passion and zest. He was an avid sports enthusiast, cheering on his favorite teams the New York Giants and the Arizona State Sun Devils, and was able to fulfill a lifelong dream when he attended the Masters. He savored every meal with gusto but his friends all knew his unique quirk of abstaining from alcohol unless he was in international waters. He found immense joy in helping those in need and spread cheer every year at Christmas time when he was able to volunteer.

In 2021, Brennan embarked on a new adventure, moving to Thailand, where he fell in love not only with the vibrant culture but also with his fiance and her daughter. He picked up the emerging sport of pickleball and continued playing golf as a proud member of the 'Hua Hin Old Gits' every Saturday at Majestic Creek Golf Club.

Brennan is survived by his children, MacKenzie Julia Elizabeth and Connor Robert Thomas Blednick, his father, Thomas Collins Blednick, his sister, Catherine Kelly DePuy, and her children, Catherine Elizabeth Stickley and husband Ty Stickley, Rohan George DePuy, and Finnegan Connor DePuy. He will also be deeply missed by his fiance, Nuananong (Nicky) Silarat and her daughter Chloe.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Catherine Elizabeth Blednick, who passed away on August 6, 1982.

A celebration of life will be held on February 17, 2024 at Desert Pines Golf Club from 3:00pm - 6:00pm, where friends and family will gather to honor Brennan's life and legacy.

Brennan's infectious laughter and warm spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
