Background
Purpose: To continue Brenda Jones’ dedication to literacy in the youth of her community.
Story: All who knew Brenda Jones knew of her love of education and giving kids the ability to fall in love with reading. She began as a reading specialist, working with children who needed additional assistance to succeed in reading and continued her passion of providing quality education and exposure to literature throughout the rest of her career.
It is the goal of the Jones Family to continue her passion of children’s literacy through donations to the Harlem Library and the Brenda Jones Library of Brookwood Elementary School in her honor.
If you are led to donate, the Jones Family will match all contributions up to $20,000. All donations will be divided between the two library locations.
