Background
My mom, Brenda Franks, has been a rescuer my entire life. She rescued me and my sister when she adopted us from birth.
We always grew up with dogs and cats in our house and as of 2016 my parents adopted our rescue hound, Phoebe. My sister, Kellen, had already rescued Vance the “Jug” (Jack Russell/ Pug) back in 2012. At the start of the pandemic, Whitney Kral made it clear that she had found the pup for me, and she was right of course. Enter Dolly into our family, our third rescue pup. Everyone loved her instantly, my mom was especially smitten. She would hug Dolly and say “Granny loves you.” and she absolutely meant it.
My mom was always a lover of animals and we know she would want nothing more than to ensure that more dogs and cats find their forever homes. In her honor and memory, we ask that you contribute to AJK Family Rescue and make other families as happy as we have been.
