Brenda's obituary
Brenda Ellis, named after the country singer popular at her time of her birth. A kind-hearted woman renowned for her resilience and strength, passed away from bladder cancer peacefully at home with her husband by her side on October 13, 2024. Born on May 8, 1965, Brenda touched many hearts with her warm, bubbly and headstrong nature in her 59 years of life.
Brenda was the beloved wife of Bill Ellis, whom she married in the year 1986, creating a blissful life full of love and laughter. She was a proud and devoted mother to her children; daughters Leticia Lee, Rachel Hammett, Charlotte Tutt, and Abbi Ellis, son William Ellis, and seven beautiful grandchildren. In addition she leaves sisters Terry, Maggie, Paula and brother Joe.
She is predeceased by her parents, Paul and Joan Shaw, And big brother Ronald Shaw. Whose love and guidance were instrumental in shaping the beautiful person that Brenda became.
Brenda's academic achievement included graduating with an AA in Electronic Technology from Southwest School of Electronics in 1993. She always encouraged the importance of education and hard work to her children.
One of Brenda's favorite recreational activities was horseback riding, which she passionately pursued until an unfortunate automobile accident rendered her disabled. Despite her personal struggles, including battling diabetes, she never failed to radiate positivity and inspire those around her.
Her greatest accomplishment, however, was raising her five children, instilling in them values of kindness, warmth, and resilience. Brenda often shared the lesson to "look out for one another," embodying this principle in her everyday life.
Brenda leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love for others, and despite facing and overcoming various life challenges, her spirit and joy remained unbroken. Her distinct laughter, love-filled advice, and enduring fortitude will forever resonate in the hearts of all those who were blessed to know her.
