Brenda Dawn Johnson of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, passed away on February 18, 2023.

She graduated from South Charleston High School and worked at Yeager Airport for over 39 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl “Bill” Tyler.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Walter “Cookie” Johnson; son Jeffrey Lee Tyler of Cross Lanes. Her mother Ivin Lee Johnson of Hurricane; her siblings Carlene Hampton (Clark) of North Carolina, Carlett “Sissy” Laing of Hurricane, Carl Lee III (Donna) of Hurricane, Carlton Lee of South Charleston and Herman “Butch” Jones (Nana) of Pennsylvania, her grandchildren Ashton Smalls, Daulton Johnson , Amanda Jeffrey, Kameron Sims, and Keegan Lee and a host of nieces, nephews family and friends.

The family will be receiving visitors on Monday, February 20, 2023, between the hours of 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Little Creek Country Club at 99 Fairway Lane, South Charleston, WV 25309, and a brief service will be held to celebrate her life on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene at 3937 Teays Valley Rd, Teays Valley, WV 25526.
