Brenda's obituary

In Loving Memory of Brenda Jean Palmer-Crowner

July 26, 1953 – June 28, 2025

Brenda Jean Palmer-Crowner, beloved mother, wife, daughter, and free spirit, passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in San Jose, California on July 26, 1953, Brenda lived a life marked by fierce love, wild independence, and a deep connection to both people and animals—especially horses.

Brenda was a true horsewoman. Her life in the saddle began early and continued for decades, inspiring countless children and adults alike to discover courage, joy, and trust through riding. Her bond with horses wasn’t just a passion—it was a reflection of her spirit: powerful, intuitive, untamed, and loyal.

She was known for dancing to the beat of her own drum. Brenda lived boldly, spoke her truth, and never shied away from the complexities of life. While she faced personal struggles—including addiction—her love for her family never wavered. Her journey was one of redemption, strength, and unwavering love.

Brenda had a deep and personal faith. She believed in Jesus, in forgiveness, and in grace. One of her final messages reflected this beautifully—she reminded us that when we die, we take nothing with us except love. And Brenda gave her love freely and abundantly to all those around her.

She is now reunited with her mother, her father Arthur Crowner, her brother Jerry, and her beloved grandmother Ethel Prusch. We believe her spirit has been set free—riding horses along heavenly beaches, laughing, and dancing in God’s kingdom.

Brenda is survived by her devoted husband, her four children, and a wide circle of family and friends who will carry her memory with pride and love.

Her life was a blessing, and her legacy lives on in every life she touched.
