Brenda's obituary
Brenda Carol Arbour, 69, of Payne Springs Texas, passed into the hands of her Savior on Sunday, December 3rd,2023. She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on October 2nd, 1954, to Glenn Joseph Arbour and Patricia Carol (White) Arbour. Brenda was the oldest of five children and the only girl.
Brenda was a generous and kind soul, always willing to lend a listening ear and help when she could. Having strong family bonds was always at the forefront of her priorities. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends and reminiscing about cherished memories. Watching soap operas, art, painting, crocheting blankets, and watching movies were some of her favorite pastimes. Besides cooking and music, she loved to read. Many of those who visited her can remember a favorite home-cooked meal and the music of various singers that played in the background. Angels were always a part of her home, especially during her favorite holiday, Christmas. She was never a shy person when it came to her love of Christmas hymns and songs.
She would often tell anyone who met her that her greatest accomplishments in life were being a mother to her two sons and a nana to her six grandchildren. Her sons were her entire world and she strived to give them the best life she could as a single mother. Her six grandchildren brought a special light into her life, a side no one had ever seen of her before. Those grandchildren brought joy into her life and she was always ready with photos of them to show off to whoever would let her.
She was a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and mother-in-law and she will be truly missed by her family.
The family also extends a special thanks to the caregivers at the Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
