Bre-Ann's obituary
Bre-Ann "Bre" Johnson (nee Hammitt) was a beacon of warmth, nurturing spirit, and southern charm. Born in Houston, TX on September 5, 1993, Bre grew up in Katy before eventually settling in Smithville, TX, where she grew her family. Bre departed from this life on August 16, 2024, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
Bre was a woman of sparkling personality, who had a strong love for family, beach trips, holidays, river floats, country dancing, night skies, baking, and caretaking. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to echo, touching lives even in her absence.
One of her most cherished feats in life was becoming a mother and wife - roles she embraced with joy and unconditional love. The lessons she imparted, especially the essence of spending time with the people you love, will remain as precious memories.
Bre is survived by her loving daughter, Leighna, and cherished son, Walker, who were her universe. Her devoted husband, Steven Johnson; her mother, Michelle Hammitt; her brother, Brandon Hammitt; her grandmother, Carol Hammitt; and her grandfather, Gary Hammitt, also survive her, carrying her vibrant spirit in their hearts.
She is predeceased by her father, Robert Hammitt; her grandmother, Sylvia D’Abadie; and her grandfather, David Lara, with whom she now rests.
As we bid farewell to our dear Bre, we remember the effervescent soul she was, and her lessons and love that will continue to guide us. Her nurturing spirit will be deeply missed.
