Braysan's obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Braysan "Lil Goonk" Connors, who was born on January 31, 2011, and tragically left us on May 25, 2025. Although he may have been known by many as Lil Goonk, he had a personal preference for Braysan.

Braysan's journey into the world of rap started in 2021 and by 2022, he had already found his core friend group, known as RTM. It was this year that his interests in rap music grew to proportions that became a significant part of his life.

In 2023, his career began to pick up momentum. On May 8, 1risktaker, also known as Likash, released a song with him and his brother called  Sarah Banks. Later that year, a collaboration with Heavymotion6, alias j6, and 1risktaker yielded the song “DONT FLAG.” Unfortunately, his BandLab account was deleted in November of the same year.

In March of 2024, Braysan crafted his first song, "Hail Mary," and shared it on SoundCloud. Several months down the line, the RTM group dispersed to different schools, but Braysan continued his journey at a new school with friends Dre, Jordan and j6.

Braysan’s musical output continued into 2025, producing a number of songs that remained unreleased. However, his life took an unfortunate turn on May 24, when he chose to go out instead of going to the studio with RTM members.

His candlelight was held on May 31, 2025, at the park of Palm Beach Rams, where he once played football (Gaines Park.) Braysan was finally laid to rest on June 14, 2025.

In the aftermath of his demise, his music has lived on. Heavymotion6 released the song "Steppers" on May 26, a collaboration with Braysan and Bray4pf, rumored to be Braysan's brother. Heavymotion6 continued to release music on behalf of RTM, creating a buzz in the city.

Known for his high spirits, playfulness, and serious demeanor when it counted, Braysan was an uncontrollably funny character. His short-lived but impactful career in rap has left a mark in the industry. Braysan's friends will strive to carry on his musical legacy, contributing to his reputation as one of the most talented 14-year-old rappers the world has ever seen.

Braysan's legacy will forever be remembered in his music, his laughter, and in the hearts of those who loved him. He may have left us, but his spirit and talent live on through his work and the memories he bestowed upon us.
