Happy Heavenly Birthday Brandon!  You were a wonderful friend who was always just a phone call or text away.  Missing you today, and wishing all the best to your family.

I was dumbfounded when I heard the news of Brandon's passing last year. When we were teenagers, Brandon and I met through our older sisters, Claire and Jocelyn. We would run into each other at parties and always took some time to catch up on how the world was treating one another. In our mid-twenties we both moved to Los Angeles around the same time; and, although we only hungout once or twice, knowing he was close by made home feel not so far away.

I still can't believe he isn't somewhere nearby being awesome. Sending hugs and love to the Sexton and Chadwick crew today!

Dear Susan and family, you have been in my heart and on my mind as this day has drawn near. Tears well up when I think of your loss and I feel badly I haven't been more supportive  or present this year.  With loving thoughts always, Marge

I think of Brandon very often.  My favorite memory is taking him and Chad to see the rock N Roll express at the Dorton Arena and def Leppard in Chapel Hill.

Just finding out about Brandon's passing. My sincere sympathies. Had a lot of fun on the road with him and Appetite.

I am so very sorry for your loss! Prayers for your family! I was in shock and disbelief when I heard about Brandon’s passing. He was my little brother’s best friend growing up. He was like family. He will be missed.
When Brandon was growing up, my family lived next to his. When he was little and concentrating on something, he would stick his tongue out of the side of his mouth. My daughter Jennifer was the same age as Brandon's sister, Claire. The girls were in YMCA Indian Princesses together beginning at six years old. That meant they had Indian names. Little brother Brandon wanted an Indian name too. I told him I thought his Indian name should be Little Lizard, since they always stuck their tongues out like he did. He thought that was really cool. For years I called him Little Lizard and he would always smile and stick his tongue at me. It's hard to forget a Little Lizard.

Brandon was like a younger brother to me because he and my brother were best friends when they were little. My friend and I used to take them to wrestling matches and concerts when they were young. They got their pictures in the Cary News dressed as the “Rock N Roll Express”. I hadn’t seen Brandon in years but have always remembered him fondly and have greatly missed him being part of our lives. Hearing of his passing hit me as hard as if I had still been seeing him daily.

The first time Brandon and I spoke with one another, he was nearly 2. I'm sure I'd seen him a year before when he was a baby, because, though I live in Michigan, I always spent Christmas with my family in NC. This particular year, I had a new instrument with me: a viola d'amore. It looks like a cross between a bass fiddle (shape) and a violin (size), and it has fourteen strings: seven that you play on with a bow, and seven that reverberate. Brandon's comment? "Too loud." Considering the volume at which he played his guitar, I think, in retrospect, that his comment was hilarious.

Susan, Wayne and Family - Understanding and acceptance are difficult during this time of grief. The knowledge of God's love and His constant caring will surround you each day. Brandan is resting in His arms and in peace. Praying the old hymn, "Does Jesus Care" will give you some comfort. "When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior Cares - Oh yes He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief", Love and prayers, Jean Alimo
I am the dad of the family that lived next door to Brandon all the while he was growing up. He and I had many, many conversations starting at a very early age. I honestly don't recall a single conversation in which he wasn't happy. He packed more smiles into his life than most of us will.
To Brandon's family,

I worked with Brandon at IQVIA and I just found out of Brandon's passing. My heart-felt condolences to you all. I loved working with Brandon and he was a great team player. May he RIP.

Brandon was a kind and funny soul and on top of that a super smart technology guy! He helped me multiple times with project tasks and issues even on the weekends. He will be missed but not forgotten.

May your memories through the years comfort you in the days ahead. Keeping your family in my prayers.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 - And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Brandon had such a wonderful soul. I know he is with Grandma now watching over us all. His love for her, Aunt Ruth and all of our family was immeasurable. I've been told how he looked up to me as his older cousin but it was truly the other way around. I've always admired and looked up to him as someone who could achieve things in life that I could only dream to accomplish. His name has often come up when I've spoken to others about music and how I was proud to be his cousin. Brandon will be dearly missed, I only wish I could have spent more time with him.
During Christmas holidays several years ago, both Brandon and I were staying with his parents. I had a very bad cold; I couldn't sleep, and I couldn't stop coughing. It must have been midnight when Brandon went to the drugstore, bought his favorite over-the-counter remedies, and instructed me as to their proper use. They worked, perhaps because of the remedies themselves, and surely because of his great kindness!
In response to "What act of kindness did you witness from Brandon?"
