Man of Grit

Grit is a personality trait.

One that Brady Rumble possessed.

Thou God has a plan for each of us,

Brady’s passion and perseverance guided him.

Courage and determination despite his difficulties gave him this title.

A Northerner through and through, but his soulmate was from the South.

He walked the aisles, while blazing trails in retail, grocers and wholesale.

His customers loved him and came to his rescue with Bad Dog at his side to support his blood drive.

His Southern Belle suited up with armor of steel to face her long battle ahead.

Grit came into play as his body fought off the bad cells.

He conquered the ten-year battle and was called a miracle by Vandy.

Their little girl was now eighteen and her heart was led to nursing.

A city’s disaster led him to the streets of Dexter Michigan, with bottled water in one hand and blankets in the other.

He provided shelter and ran a soup kitchen in his store for the neighbors and rescuers.

The South called them back and they made a home in Eads, surrounded by the peace and quiet of nature.

Blessings flowed with a wedding every daughter dreams of, to a man who adores her.

Followed by a vivacious ebullient granddaughter and grandson destined to play on the Lions front line.

The years have been filled with love, laughter, hugs and kisses for Lovey and Pop-Pop.

This loving home is where Brady faced diversity for the last time,

but the Man of Grit won due to his faith over fear

with Jamie at his side and Shelby on the other.

I am very much saddened to hear of Brady's passing. During our time living in Rochester my parents and I were very fond of Brady and his parents. Although I left Rochester decades ago I have thought of Brady often the years and wish the best to his extended family

My condolences to Brady's family. I first met Brady when he hired me at Busch's. He was a great boss that constantly pushed our team to be better in both business and community. He will be greatly missed. Forever in  my heart my prayers go out to family.
