Brad's obituary

Bradley Kurt Spiller, beloved son, husband, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully early March 9th, 2022 from complications of kidney disease. Although he has left a large empty space in his family’s world, we are comforted knowing that he is no longer in pain and reunited with his brother, Steve.

Brad was born May 21, 1960 to Larry Todd Spiller and Dianne Eastwood Spiller in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In his youth, he lived in many places including Littleton, CO, Kansas City, MI, and Harford (Simsbury) CT,. His family finally settled in Katy, Texas, where Brad finished high school. He then attended the University of Texas in Austin with a major in Petroleum Engineering.

Through College, Brad worked at Hertz. Later, he pursued his passion of working in the oil field by working his way up at Conoco Phillips. He served as a Geoscience Technician where he retired after 36 years. After retiring, Brad enjoyed watching Longhorn football games, playing video games with his neighbors and making gambling trips to Vegas and Oklahoma with his wife, Karen.

The biggest talent Brad possessed was showing his love for his family and his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed and until we are reunited in Heaven, we will cherish the many memories made with him on Earth.

Brad discovered his kidney disease in his late 20s and his mother graciously gave him a kidney and 32 more years of life. Brad is survived by his spouse, Karen Spiller, parents Todd and Dianne Spiller, sister-in-law Susan Spiller, nieces and nephews Amber, Stephanie, Ryan, and Jaden, and grand-nieces Haley, Braelyn, Amira and grand-nephew Kolter. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2 o’clock Sunday, April 10th at the Memorial Parkway Community Association, located at 21600 Cimarron Parkway, Katy TX. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the National Kidney Foundation, at www.kidney.org.
