Background

My dad, Bradley James Maris, passed away at St. Vincent de Christus hospital on August 19, 2021. He was diagnosed with COPD and lived years managing his breathing. After a severe breathing attack and a week long stay in the hospital he was able to come home and spend time with his family. A few nights later, he woke up to unbearable stomach pains and was diagnosed with a colon perfusion that led to sepsis- he passed away at shortly after being put on a ventilator. He had also tested positive for COVID.

We are sure my dad is at peace now and he isnt suffering. We are so grateful for the time we had with him. My dad's life was his grandchildren, Oliver and Addison. They were his everything and he was their everything. My dad loved his family and would do absolutly anything to make sure we were ok. My parents were best friends, they did everything together, they were soul mates. He passed away on their 30th wedding anniversary.

My dad went home to God and we know that he is in heaven looking down on all of us. He will always be our guardian angel.

My dad has been on dissability since he was diagnosed with COPD in 2016. Any donations towards his cremation, service, etc. would help our family tremendously during this difficult time.

We will be having a service but still need time to process, grieve, and get everything planned.

Thank you,

Taylor, Teri, Oliver & Addison
