Brad's obituary
Bradley Scott Bjork returned to his heavenly home, peacefully on November 8th, 2022, surrounded by his wife, and children. He was born in Bakersfield, California to Harvey and Jane Bjork. He grew up in Woodland Hills, California attending El Camino Real High School, class of 1978. Brad had a strong love and talent as a musician, playing both trumpet in his high school marching band and a drummer, playing in many bands throughout the 1980s through the end of his life.
Brad moved to McFarland, California in the early 1980s and eventually settled in the Bakersfield area, working as an alfalfa farmer, and bookkeeper, and later, working 2 seasons as a wildland firefighter and landscaper.
Brad was a loving and kind man, and many will remember him for his love of jokes, being silly, and his overall kind and easygoing personality. Brad had a deep love of God and loved and adored his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Jenkins Bjork; his children Kandace Miller, Kristofer Morales, Tessa Bjork, Kody Bjork, Sandy Alexander, Brandy Dawson, and Kameron De Wanz; his many grandchildren; his sibling Randy Bjork; and his nieces and nephews.
His celebration of life will be held on December 10th, 2022, at 11:00 am at Grace Baptist Church, 2550 Jewetta Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93312.
The family wishes to thank all those that have devoted their time so generously during Brad’s battle and continue to do so for others at the Olivia White Hospice Home in Flagstaff, AZ.
