Bradford Monroe Lindsley, 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on November 28, 2023. Our hope is when he opened his eyes again, his beloved wife was there and said, “Hey babes!”

Brad was born November 5, 1948, to Bradford Monroe Lindsley, Sr. and Barabara Lindsley (Simmons) in Rhode Island. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Cheryl Lindsley (2019) and both of his parents. He is survived by his children Shauna Lee (Lindsley), Brad Lindsley, and Tania Lindsley; his siblings – Barabara Lindsley, Betsy Lindsley Butler, Bruce Edward Lindsley, and Beverly Ann Evans; and his grandchildren – Jordan Marcel Lindsley, Rylee Lindsley, Kami Lindsley, Damian Lee, Taylor Lindsley, and Anthony Cooper Jr.

Brad grew up in Rhode Island with his feet in the sand, digging for quahogs, finding adventure (and sometimes mischief) with his childhood friends who kept their lifelong friendship until his passing. Brad is a US Air Force Veteran and survivor of the Vietnam War. He and Cheryl married on January 7, 1988. Brad and Cheryl packed up the “big blue cupcake” on top of their station wagon that summer with their children and left their hometown of North Kingstown, Rhode Island to explore and find a new life in Palm Bay, Florida. Brad and Cheryl built a beautiful life together raising their children and accomplishing their version of the “American Dream”. Brad pursued his truck driving license and became a long-haul truck driver until retiring at their Palm Bay home in 2013 with his wife.

Brad’s interests included mechanical engineering, all things math and science, he had a love for the ocean, cars, good food, laughter, and long walks on the beach – especially with his grandchildren. He was a proud dad, always encouraging his children to pursue their dreams and above all to be happy.

He leaves behind a long list of “dad-isms”, which will be carried on by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services with military honors will be held at the end of January 2024. The family will provide details once they are finalized. But until then, as Brad would tell you, “Do good, be good, and be careful. Love you dearly!”
