Booker's obituary
Apostle Booker T. Hill Jr., the second of eleven children, was born to Booker T. Hill Sr. and Bernice Jackson Hill. He
was born on October 23rd, 1935, in Prince George County, Virginia, and went home to be with the Lord, on October
14th, 2024. He leaves to mourn his devoted wife, Apostle Gloria Copeland Hill; his beloved children, Marsha Moulton
of Durham, North Carolina; son Alton Hill of Tennessee; and daughter Tia Diviv Hill Cherry of Marion, Indiana and her
children Unitha Cherry and Mateo O’thniel Cherry; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-
great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by Nancy Patrick of Prince George County,Virginia; Carolyn Demory of Lewood, Kansas; Bernice
Dawson Jeff of Alexandria, Virginia; Earlene Williams Jeff of Prince George County; Sally Cage of Prince George
County, Virginia (and her husband, Darrin Cage); his cherished brother Richard Hill (and his wife, Bertha) of Buffalo,
New York; Louis Robert Hill of Woodstock,Maryland; Ernest Hill (and wife Karen Hill) of Petersburg, Virginia; and a
host of cousins and other relatives.
In addition to his parents and his sister, Jennie Mae Hill, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leroi Hill, and his
son, Dimanti Lovell Hill.
Booker was educated in Prince George County Public Schools, where he completed the requirements and received
his high school diploma. He accepted Christ at an early age and was encouraged to help others. As he grew in his
knowledge of the Lord, he was filled with the Holy Spirit. He began helping elderly people with wood, coal, and the
delivery of ice during the summer. While active in Christ’s work, he taught Sunday School to preschoolers and later
became the superintendent of Sunday School at Bethesda Bible Way Church in Petersburg, Virginia. He was a
member of several choirs, served as a trustee, held offices in several ministry associations and organizations, and
was also the Central District Sunday School Superintendent for Virginia of the Bible Way Worldwide Churches.
Booker took courses from International Correspondence School in Scranton, Pennsylvania; John Tyler Community
College in Chesterfield, Virginia; Richard Bland College in Prince George, Virginia; and the University of Lynchburg in
Lynchburg, Virginia. He also graduated from Turner Theological Seminary in Macon, Georgia.
He was also involved with the Boy Scouts in Georgia, serving as Scout Leader for four years. He served in his
community through outreach ministry, World of Deliverance and Helps Ministries with his wife, Good News Jail and
Prison Ministry, and as a Greene County election official. He also partnered in ministry with Healing Hearts Apostolic
Ministries of Richmond, Virginia, and New Fellowship Christian Center in Madison, Virginia.
He enjoyed fishing, reading, swimming, singing, playing the saxophone, auto repair, and ministry. He also served his
country in the Army and the Marine Corps. He will surely be missed by all those who had the privilege of
encountering him.
